Outstanding resort and an idyllic place. The only issue for us was the inability to walk to Gaeta, but the drivers working with the hotel are fantastic, and for €40 you can go to Gaeta and back. Dinners and lunches are a treat for any seafood lover.
Great value for money!!
My partner and I travelled through Europe for a month and this was the best hotel out of them all! The views are phenomenal, the breakfast buffet was delicious with a great range of food (I’m gluten free, which they catered for) and every staff member was attentive and so lovely. Couldn’t recommend enough!
Pros: Very beautiful view, charming old school architecture built into the hillside with varied terraces, many lovely places to sit and have a drink or read, some staff were wonderful, nice pool, beautiful beach with shallow sandy bottom and calm blue waters, dinner was very good.
Cons: The 2 rooms we had were really dismal, need major updating, decor so sad, mattresses extremely firm, linens very poor quality, dark, very heavy use of perfumed room deodorizer, extremely old AC unit barely working, bathroom and especially showers tiny. Additionally breakfast buffet was very poor quality, the whole place needs to be power washed of dirt and cobwebs and a lot of gardening should be done. Perhaps most distressing the sheer volume of mosquitos, we are absolutely covered in bites.
We stayed for the same price in a 5 star hotel in Sorrento which was super clean and beautiful with big renovated rooms, furniture and bathrooms which also had a barely functioning AC. The comparison between the 2 hotels at the same price was quite shocking.
I would have loved to give this five stars, as the views are fantastic, the rooms are impeccable, and the beach is stunning. Unfortunately the food did not live up to the rest of the experience. The dinner at the restaurant was mediocre, and I was disappointed to see live lobsters in an unsuitable environment. The breakfast also had little to recommend itself, with a disappointing selection of meats and cheeses, and none of the pastries offering more than cloying sweetness. If you want good Italian food, you will have to seek it elsewhere.
Wow all around.
This is a fantastic hotel on so many levels. The very wonderful staff in every area of the hotel we came across. Each were so kind, helpful and friendly to our family. Excellent customer service all around. We had dinner, breakfast and pool drinks and all were delicious. I loved how passionate they were about their offering. Our stay in the hotel was way too short as it was so perfect and we look forward to returning.
Amazing and totally unexpected experience! On best days it rivals Capri for the scenic seaside beauty. The hotel it s understated has and old school kind of original atmosfere.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, service and food is very good, you can go extremely far into the sea, again at any time
Anna Maria & Assia are wonderful. They are great and take wonderful care of their guests. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in a little slice of paradise.
